Deflected Doubleweave Scarf
Here’s a scarf I just finished. It is in deflected doubleweave with differential shrinkage. The green is merino wool, the white 10/2 tencel. The first picture is one side of the scarf as it came off the loom. The other pictures are after wet finishing in warm water with detergent and agitation. The weftwise shrinkage was 50%; warpwise 35%.
Very cool, Dorothy – thank for posting! Will you have it at the Guild meeting for Show & Tell?
Not this one, it’s already given away, to a friend who lives in England. There’s warp for another still on the loom, tho, and I hope to have it done by the meeting.
